Vibeke Sorensen is an artist working in digital multimedia, experimental animation, interactive architectural installation, and networked visual-music performance. Her artwork spans more than 4 decades and has been published and exhibited worldwide, in books, galleries, museums, conferences, performances, film festivals, cable and broadcast television, and the internet. Her artistic research has been supported by Intel Corporation, New York State Council on the Arts, the Rockefeller Foundation, National Science Foundation, USC Annenberg Center for Communication and Zumberge Fund for Innovation in Research. Currently she is Professor and Chair of the School of Art, Design and Media at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore (2009-present).
