NLoops is a 9 monitor installation exploring polyrythmic musical structures translated into 2 and 3 dimensional computer animated form, in which complex time-space structures are built from phasings of abstract painted cycles. The work references the history of animation, including the zoetrope and its variations as it is extended into 3 and 4 dimensions of computer processes. Produced at the California Institute of the Arts.
Concept and animation by Vibeke Sorensen.
Music composed by Rand Steiger.
