Call for participation in master classes of DA Fest 2015

  2015-09-14
International digital art festival DA Fest launches a call for participation in the master classes of the French artist Guillaume Baychelier and Christian Delecluse.

The both  artists are involved in the festival exhibition with their installations, which will explain in detail during the master classes.

Master Class by Guillaume Baychelier will follow the creation of "Heliotropes " - from the first ideas, born in 2012, throuth the creative process around Bleue II, to the present work on the third part of the trilogy. Baychelier will explain how the project was based on his video practice mixing all the diverse aspects of his creations, from conceptual video loops to more cinematic short films.

In his master class Christian Delecluse will examine the theme of the act of perception and how many recent art works, especially the installations, try to build immersive perceptual environments that, through the implication of the physical body of the viewer, produce “experiences” in the audience. Those works challenge the esthetic criteria of the conceptual art, and urges for the definition of a new esthetics related to this approach.

Guillaume Baychelier master class will be held on September 17,  and Christian Delecluse one is on September 18 , both from 4.00 to 6.00 pm, in studio 7 of the National Academy of Art  on 1 Shipka Str., Sofia.

Participation is open to all with an interest in the topics and has free admission.

Classes will be held in English without translation.

More information about the events can be found on the workshop section of the website.

Master classes and full participation of Guillaume Baychelier and Christian Delecluse in DA Fest 2015 is supported by InstituteFrancais Bulgarie.
